What CDCP can help cover
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is intended to help with the cost of a wide range of oral health services. The exact list and frequency limits are set by Health Canada and updated periodically.
Preventive services
Exams, recall cleanings, scaling, fluoride and sealants.
Diagnostic services
X-rays and clinical assessments to plan treatment.
Restorative services
Fillings to repair cavities and minor tooth damage.
Endodontic services
Root canal therapy on most teeth.
Periodontal services
Treatment for gum disease, including deeper cleanings.
Prosthodontic services
Removable complete and partial dentures.
Oral surgery
Simple and surgical extractions, including some wisdom teeth.
Sedation services
Where clinically indicated and approved by the plan.

Bring your coverage details
Provide your CDCP member card or coverage letter at check-in. Our team verifies eligibility before treatment.
Comprehensive exam and X-rays
Your dentist completes a full assessment to identify any urgent issues and plan recommended care.
Clear written estimate
We provide a treatment plan with the CDCP portion, any patient co-payment and any non-covered fees clearly listed.
Direct billing
We submit claims directly to the plan administrator where the program permits.
Follow-up care
Recall cleanings and any needed treatment are scheduled at the same location for continuity.
