Dental Crowns and Bridges

A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers a damaged tooth. A bridge is a series of connected crowns that fills a gap left by one or more missing teeth, anchored to the teeth on either side.

Who may need this service

  • A tooth with a large filling or fracture
  • After a root canal on a back tooth
  • Replacement of one or two adjacent missing teeth without an implant

Treatment process

  1. Step 1

    Tooth preparation

The damaged tooth is shaped to receive the crown or bridge.

  2. Step 2

    Impression / digital scan

An accurate model of your teeth is captured.

  3. Step 3

    Temporary crown

A temporary protects the tooth while the permanent restoration is made.

  4. Step 4

    Final cementation

The lab-made crown or bridge is checked for fit, colour and bite, then bonded into place.

Benefits

  • Restores chewing and appearance
  • Protects weakened or root-canal-treated teeth
  • A bridge can replace a missing tooth without surgery
